/setup
Repo configUser-invoked

One-time setup for a project: where issues live, how docs are laid out, and which agent files the pipeline should use.

New repo, or the first time you wire ai-kit into a project. Run this before /to-prd, /to-issues, or /triage.

  • ai-kit cloned and `pnpm bootstrap` already ran so /setup appears in Cursor.
  • You are in the target project repo (not only the ai-kit repo).
  1. In Cursor chat, type /setup (or paste the sample prompt).
  2. Answer where issues live, docs language, and domain layout — one decision at a time.
  3. Confirm the agent writes `docs/agents/` pointers and related config for this repo.
  4. Restart or refresh the chat, then run /align or /triage as needed.

The repo has setup artifacts so /to-prd, /to-issues, and /triage can find the tracker and docs layout.

Upstream
Bootstrap (`bootstrap.sh`) — symlink skills into your editor
Downstream
/align, /reqs, /triage, and the rest of the pipeline

Does not install the skill symlinks — that is bootstrap. Does not handle day-to-day repo maintenance.

  • Bootstrap symlinks skills; /setup configures the project — do both, in that order.
  • Run /setup once per repo, not before every feature.
